The place to take stock
What we do
We keep wilko stores stocked with amazing quality products. We’re responsible for things like sales, net margin and what stock we have in the business at any one time. The most important thing we do is to make sure that we get the right stock in the right stores at the right time so that when our customers want this year’s ‘must-have’ Christmas toy, they know they’ll find it at wilko.
The difference we make
We’re a team of fast-workers and fortune-tellers. We seize all sales opportunities and quickly meet changes in sales and customer demands. We also look to the future and make sure we’ve plans in place to hit our sales targets. Importantly, we keep listening and talking, to our wilko colleagues and our external suppliers.
A typical merchandiser looks after a range of categories, dealing with potentially hundreds of SKUs and sales in the tens of millions of pounds each year. And, we’re always looking to beat our budget and improve on last year where we can.
A place to grow
We’re such a busy function. With us you really do have the opportunity and support to be the best you can be. You can work your way through the merchandising function from a merchandising assistant, to an assistant merchandiser, onto a merchandiser and up to a senior merchandiser and head of merchandising. You can even move into other areas from here, like buying, space or logistics. Plus, there are plenty of skills training and development courses to help you go as far as you can.
