What happens after induction?

Following a thorough induction and training programme that’s specific to your role, you’ll have regular development reviews with your line manager where they will support you in developing or improving your skills. Our end-to-end talent plan ensures that learning and development is available at all levels of the business, whether a team member works at head office, in one of our distribution centres or in our stores. We encourage everyone to drive their own personal development and offer a variety of learning solutions to help them do it. If you are highlighted as having potential you could be nominated for our talent development programmes here at Wilko these programmes are tailored to different levels and are an accelerated talent development programme, designed to concentrate on leadership capability as well as covering day-to-day business fundamentals. Our internal trainers collaborate with expert external training providers to deliver both practical and experiential learning.

Can I move to other areas of Wilko?

In addition to well structured training and development , we regularly update our succession plans and often work areas and knowledge can overlap as a result there may be opportunities to move diagonally into another department that really interests you or you have skills that match , we’re dedicated to supporting you wherever your future talks you.
